A FILM THAT LASTS
On a recently held Nis festival, the first movie by the director Jelena Bajic Jocic has brought several awards to the actors. This terrific drama, filmed on the basis of a monodrama, which was written in 1975 by Rados Bajic, has brought the actress Nela Mihailovic the “ Carica Teodora “ award for the best female role, so as an award for the most popular actor of the festival according to the votes of the audience. At the same time , a young actor from Montenegro , Momcilo Otasevic has been proclaimed for the best foreign actor for the lead role in the movie “The Ice “.
The Jahorina film festival has given the director an award “ Zlatna Lincura “ for this movie which according to the jury of the festival , in a most beautiful way promotes the value and the beauty of a country. Predrag Jocic’s camera and splendid shots have most certainly contributed to this award.
Moreover, in September “ The Ice ” opens the Jahorina film festival and after that it will appear in the competitive category on one of the greatest festivals of independent movie in Europe – “ Raindance film festival “ which is held in London.
Afterwards , in November this native accomplishment takes part in the Mediterranean film festival in Izmir, then in a festival in Greece, Cyprus, a film festival in India Goa and lastly the movie will open fhe Sydney film festival.
